Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai)

Only a select few stadiums in Dubai Sports City have floodlights, and this one is among them. Its "Ring of Fire" floodlight system is unlike any other. With its more than 350 floodlights, the stadium is ideal for hosting international events. This stadium was designed by the famous Canadian architect Awsam Matloob.

Because it has hosted so many Pakistani matches, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has long been thought of as the national team's home venue. Sharjah Cricket Stadium (Sharjah)

With 261 matches under its belt, Sharjah International Cricket Stadium is a cricketing mecca. This comprises of 9 test matches, 238 one-day internationals, and 14 Twenty20 internationals. Following Sydney Cricket Ground and Melbourne Cricket Ground in terms of the number of international matches hosted, Sharjah Stadium comes in at number three.

Sharjah is among the Middle East's most popular locations. The wicket is 65 meters square and the ground is 62 meters down, all of which make boundary-hitting a tempting prospect.

Under the lights, the ball comes onto the bat a little bit better, which has historically favored the chasing team on the ground. Despite the small boundaries, spinners can be used on occasions when the surface becomes slightly sticky during the first innings.

Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium (Abu Dhabi)

The United Arab Emirates' Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi is a magnificent venue that has played host to several historic matches. Massive events such as the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, the Indian Premier League (IPL), the T10 League, International League T20 matches, and many more have taken place in the stadium.

The stadium was inaugurated in 2004 and is named after His Highness (Late) Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a Founding Father of the UAE (may he forever rest in peace). Floodlights and other modern amenities were installed in the cricket stadium, costing around $22 million. At the moment, 20,000 people can fit into Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Gaddafi Stadium (Lahore)

Gaddafi Stadium is among the biggest and oldest cricket stadiums in Pakistan, having been established in 1959. Originally called "Lahore Stadium," the Lahore-based stadium was rechristened "Gaddafi Stadium" in commemoration of the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Originally, Nasreddin Murat-Khan and MianAbulKhaliq & Company were responsible for its design and construction. Nayyar Ali Dada made renovations to the stadium in subsequent years. During renovations done in the years leading up to the 1996 FIFA World Cup, the stadium's capacity was lowered from 60,000 to 27,000.

The prestigious Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters are located in Gaddafi Stadium, which is also controlled by the same entity. The Pakistan National Cricket Team calls this stadium their home.

National Stadium (Karachi)

Karachi, the capital of Pakistan, is home to the National Stadium, the country's second-largest stadium. April 21, 1955 was the day of its founding. A respectable 34,228 spectators can be accommodated in the stadium. The Sindh Cricket Association runs the National Stadium, which is owned by PCB.

It is interesting to note that the National Stadium has witnessed numerous remarkable occurrences in the history of cricket on a national and international level. According to legend, the Pakistan national cricket team has only lost twice in forty Test matches played at this very ground.

The inaugural Test, One-Day International, and Twenty20 matches were all held at the stadium between February 26, 1956, November 21, 1980, and April 20, 2008, respectively. The first match of the Pakistan Super League 2020 will take place at National Stadium, one of the league's main venues. This is where the Karachi Kings call home.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (Rawalpindi)

Another stadium synonymous with all the top cricket betting sites and punters out there, the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ranks high among Pakistan's most illustrious venues for the sport. In 1992, in the city of Rawalpindi, not far from Islamabad, the stadium was established. Currently, the stadium has the capacity to hold fifteen thousand people.

While the Northern Cricket Association runs the show at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the Pakistan Cricket Board owns the facility. It is the only international stadium in Pakistan that meets all standards. The stadium played host to several World Cup matches in 1996 because it was constructed a few years prior to the tournament when Pakistan hosted it.

Multan Cricket Stadium (Multan)

The last entry from our 2024 Pakistan Super League Stadiums is the Multan Cricket Stadium. A massive multi-use arena, Multan Stadium is one of Pakistan's newest stadiums. With an impressive capacity of 35,000 people, the stadium, situated in the suburbs of Multan, is the largest stadium in the country. The Multan Cricket Stadium had its grand opening in the year 2001.

The original Ibn-e-QasimBagh Cricket Stadium was demolished and replaced with this structure. Multan Stadium now has floodlights, allowing for day and night matches. Pakistan Cricket Board owns the stadium, but the Southern Punjab Cricket Association operates it. The stadium's inaugural day/night encounter was a Pakistan vs. India affair.
